2.17.10 Garden Presentation

School Garden Case Study Presentation prepared by tean members Perriann and Ben from AIAS Newschool - a good look at case studies of school gardens, locally and globally... really showcases the value of having gardens within your community and specifically within our school systems to educate students on the benefits of eating healthy - make sure to check out the TED 2010 Prize Winner - Jaime Oliver http://www.tedprize.com for his $100,000 wish - applicable to this project!

We Rocked for Haiti!




Congratulations and great job to everyone who was able to come out and support our fundraising efforts to support Architecture for Humanity in their rebuilding efforts in Haiti! We had a stellar performance by Chad Farran & Friends and Soul Choro! In partnership with the San Diego Architectural Foundation, we were able to raise over $1500 in proceeds for the 4 hour event at the Whistle Stop. 2.17.10 ProjectFIND Meeting a Success!


Great job everyone! We are looking good as we move forward with the winning proposal of Taylor Scherner's school garden network! Denise Colestock is managing the project and a number of volunteers are getting involved - including students from Newschool's AIAS chapter. Today much was discussed - we took a look at a cost analysis breakdown, case studies of other gardens and grants we are applying for. Interested in getting involved? Our next meeting is set for March 18th, 9:30 a.m. at our offices. 1.20.09 Power of Design

Hi Everyone! I just want to extend a big thanks to those who were able to see our presentation at the last Pecha Kucha Event! We recieved a great response and feedback from everyone and it just shows we need to continue to get out there and inspire others to do the same.
